For Arthur Jafa, celestial imagery often operates as a bridge between history and myth, the personal and the planetary. Featured in conjunction with I Am Tony at the New Museum, this 18 × 24 inch poster draws from the visual language of APEX, where images of the cosmos appear alongside portraits, cultural icons, and scenes of beauty and devastation. The eclipse becomes a symbol of forces that exceed ordinary perception: power, memory, loss, transcendence, and the possibility of emergence after darkness.
