Julian Opie's distinctive simple silhouette drawings are inspired by Japanese woodblock prints, Egyptian hieroglyphics and classic portraiture. His work can be found in many public art collections, including Tate, British Museum, Victoria & Albert, Arts Council, British Council and National Portrait Gallery in London, The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The Artist Plate Project, launched in 2020 to benefit the Coalition for the Homeless, has partnered with over 98 world-renowned artists who have created limited-edition dinner plates produced by Prospect. The funds raised by the sale of plates will provide food, crisis services, housing and other critical aid to thousands of people experiencing homelessness and instability.

The Coalition for the Homeless is the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless individuals and families. We believe that affordable housing, sufficient food, and the chance to work for a living wage are fundamental rights in a civilized society. Since our inception in 1981, the Coalition has worked through litigation, public education, and direct services to ensure that these goals are realized. Every day, our 11 frontline programs help more than 3,500 New Yorkers survive immediate crises and put them on the path to long-term stability.
