Return Policy

What is your return policy?
We have a 30-day return or exchange policy. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return the merchandise to us in its original condition within 30 days of delivery.

Exclusions: Limited editions, multimedia items, memberships, periodicals, calendars, posters, earrings, and sale merchandise are non-returnable unless defective. A restocking fee will apply for any items not received in their original condition and packaging. A refund or exchange will be issued for items returned, excluding shipping charges. All returns must be accompanied with a receipt/invoice.

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your merchandise arrives damaged, please contact us at 212.343.0460 or store@newmuseum.org within five business days for instructions and an exchange or credit.

How do I set up a return or exchange?
Please visit our contact form and select 'Request Return/Exchange' as the subject to initiate a return. 

 

Restrictions

Are there any restrictions on returns that I should be aware of?

  • · Shipping and handling charges are not refundable
  • · Returns for online orders cannot be processed at the New Museum Store physical location
  • · Limited editions, multimedia items, memberships, periodicals, calendars, posters, earrings, and sale merchandise are non-returnable unless defective. A restocking fee will apply for any items not received in its original condition and packaging
  • · All returns must be accompanied with a receipt/invoice
  • · Merchandise purchased with cash in our store is only redeemable for an in-store credit or in-store gift card

 

Gift Returns & Restrictions

  • · Merchandise received as a gift that was purchased on newmuseumstore.org may be returned in exchange for a gift card, redeemable at our store, located at 235 Bowery, New York, NY.
