The “Love Me” smiley neon is a sign of the times. Now more than ever, we are seeking symbols of inclusion. Kulig’s “Love Me” mark first appeared in 2005 and in a short time became a ubiquitous manifesto. He made his first script “Love Me” neon in 2008 and followed it up in 2012 with a series of “Love Me” neons in stacked block letters. In 2013 he created the “Love Me” smiley, doubling down on love and happiness in one mark. The “Love Me” Smiley Neon has been produced an edition of 15 exclusively for the New Museum Store.
