This paddle-game edition is based on the auction paddles used at Christie's contemporary art auctions, and was created to coincide with the new series of paintings by Charles Lutz, titled Charts, Price Lists, Corrections, and Other Relevant Statements. The images appropriated for these works are derived from the materials created and released by major auction houses post-sale, from the 1970s through 2008. These works take a closer look at the rhetoric behind the headline-making hammer prices that have come to define the contemporary art market as we know it today.
